50 game season

Looks like we are going to have a 50 game season (approximately 7 weeks). I am proposing that match ups for the season will be divisional games. There will only be 4 teams making the playoffs, 3 divisional winners and a wild card that has the best record.

In the playoffs you will only be allowed 5 adds throughout entire playoffs. Playoffs will only be 2 weeks in length.

Next years draft will be worst record gets 1st pick and down from there, there will be no consolation rounds this season.

This seasons contracts will count. With expanded MLB rosters we may waive prospect status for next season.


This is uncharted waters so your input is highly valued, please make any comments.

I would like to have a plan set in stone soon so we have something to work from, once they are set I will post amended rules for the 2020 season.

I think contracts shouldnt count for only 50 games.

I’m fine with that. We’ll see what the consensus is but I wouldn’t be apposed to contracts carrying over

Seems unfair to people with a shitty player on a one year contract.. That guy may be tough to hold for this 50 games and not even be on a team next year..

I’ve been pondering having a couple of free drops if we go that direction for that reason.
