-Adding Players From the Free Market-
Players are signed from the Waiver Wire to your AR, PL or DL.
All Waiver Wire free agents are assigned standard contracts, the base of which are $1/Guaranteed or $2/non-Guaranteed. The first bid determines the contract class. The bid must last 24 hours. Auctioning determines the winner of multiple bidders.
This applies to players who are promoted from the minors in actuality. As soon as a player is promoted, regardless of whether or not he is added to Yahoo, he is eligible for this type of auction. You're required to provide a news source verifying the promotion. This does not apply after September 1st.
Waiver Wire free agents who are receiving pay from their former team because of a guaranteed contract can be signed by a team assuming the player's contract from his former team. The claim for a released free agent's guaranteed contract must last 24 hours. If more than one owner claims such a player, we will use the reverse order of the standings to settle whom wins this player.
If you win a player off of FA off the waiver wire you have 2 days to add that player to yahoo. If you fail to do so he goes back into the FA pool. He must be re-bid on again before that player can be added to a team, this includes the team that won him in the first place.
To eliminate just bidding on a player and never adding that player to drive up the price or block a team from adding a player you must:
- state the player you are dropping or how many open spots you have on your roster
- you will have 12 hours to add that player to your roster or the winning bid will go to the previous highest bid if there are multiple bids.
- you must also state how much budget you have remaining *amended 10/15/2021
If a team releases a player via insurance to the Waiver Wire and re-acquires that player in the same season, than that team cannot receive a RTM Option for that player, nor can that team exercise a Keeper Exemption on that player in the proceeding offseason.
-Limited Roster Moves-
During the League Playoffs, each team is allowed a maximum of ten roster moves. There are no exceptions. If you are the winning bid it is considered a transaction unless you are outbid. Drops count as a transaction so an add/drop would be considered two transactions.
-Release Waivers-
Release Waivers are special vouches granted to a team by the Commish that allows the team to release any player on its roster, and not be liable for any of the player's salary.
-Posting a Trade-
All trades must be posted and agreed publicly, by the specified trading owners, stating all the principles and terms of the exchange.
After a trade has passed a 24 hour approval period, it is the responsibility of each owner to modify their "Salary Cap" thread.
-Trade Guidelines and Stipulations-
Players may be traded for other players/draft picks. Money can be included in deals involving players/picks. However, no player can be traded for money alone.
Draft picks may be traded for other picks and/or money. Only $60 of your cap (money) may be traded during auctions. After auctions, this limit rises to $100.
-Trade Deadlines-
15 August is the deadline
-Protesting & Disputes-
In the event that disputes arise amongst owners, a request for Review & Resolution (R&R) may be filed to the Commissioner in the 'Official Notes' thread.
The sides of argument for the cases of R&R will be limited to two. MSP will represent the League in disputes. Every dispute will be decided, by choice of the case's defendant, by the R&R Arbitrator, MSP, or an R&R panel of three league members. The plaintiff and defendant of the dispute will each select one uninvolved league owner as a member of the R&R board. The R&R board will then select its third member.
The R&R Arbitrator or panel will determine the rules, pace, and results of the case. The verdicts are final but may be appealed to the Commissioner.
For trades, each owner will have 24 hours to protest a deal upon completion. Each trade that any league member opposes will be reviewed.
