Regarding call ups

Let's say we have a minor leaguer that has yet to hit that magic number in AB or IP at the end of 2023.  Then come 2024 and that player is on the opening day roster for his major league team.  Do we HAVE to call him up based on him being on the opening day roster?

No, only players at the beginning of the season that are over the threshold must be called up
